Some of our wild horses need to have extra sedation to make it safe for them to get trimmed and receive important veterinary care. These horses were never exposed to humans. We are slowly getting them used to the idea that they are safe and we are not going to hurt them. In the meantime, to keep them, our volunteers, farrier and veterinarians safe, we do need to sedate them heavily. We have several horses who require this type of sedation.
