After a long drive back to Gilbert, AZ with the babies in Laurie's SUV, and Deb feeding them milk replacement along the way, the Wildhorse Team went straight to Arizona Equine Medical and Surgical Centre. It was late but the excellent team of Doctors and Staff went into high gear to save Gus.

Dr. Howard checked on Jack's injuries as well. He drew blood to check his levels and also checked his temp, respiration and heart rate. He removed his leg bandage and checked the severe wound as well as the serious bite and drag marks on his neck and upper leg.

Gus needs to be on IV fluids and stay at the hospital. His sugar level was so low, that he was almost in a coma.

Jack was able to come home to the ranch. We set up a safe, cool and cushy stall for him. He was so exhausted. Our amazing crew provided milk replacement for him every 2 hours and gave him lots of hugs and kisses. After a full belly, he fell fast asleep.
